Ecosystem Solutions Partners with Brookfield Homes in Green Development Project | Feb-2008
Many partners will be working together to with Brookfield Homes, a leader in the green development movement, to plan and assess their ongoing shoreline work at Swan Point, MD. Located on the Potomac River, Swan Point is a valuable natural resource where aquatic and terrestrial organisms alike utilize the various habitats located there. ESI, in partnership with the Chesapeake Research Consortium, Morgan State University Estuarine Research Center, Anne Arundel Community College, and Wayfarer Nursery will help plan, execute, and assess a living shoreline restoration project. Scientists will work together to evaluate baseline conditions and changes that will occur following restoration for a myriad of factors, including submerged aquatic vegetation, water quality and clarity, shifts in sediment dynamics, benthic organisms and fish populations.
